Our hugely popular Brill is made with a very fine core and only transparent fibres for iridescence. It's a highly interesting material for nymph and wet fly tying, giving a translucent effect to bodies. It's also excellent when used in combination with cdc feathers and soft hackles, enhancing both the efficiency and realism of the imitation.
