The belly-stick is a rod specially designed for fishing from a belly boat. Thanks to its 165-centimetre length and its short 28-centimetre butt below the reel seat, the belly-stick guarantees ideal handling. You can cast lures weighing 50 to 150 grams with it, and you can also fish vertically with jig heads up to 200 grams. It works equally well with fixed-spool reels and baitcasting reels. The light, sensitive blank becomes parabolic under heavy load while offering an enormous reserve of power. Our team member Jean-Christophe Conéjéro outwitted the wariness of a 274-centimetre fish with the belly-stick during testing, which constitutes the official world record for the longest catfish — never before had such a large catfish been measured and officially certified.
