it wasn't easy to develop a fishing rod that has the same level of quality as our other rods, but at the same time is noticeably cheaper. we didn't want to cut corners on the equipment and the finish in any case. the idea that we were finally able to put into practice was to develop a modern fiberglass blank. since this raw material is noticeably cheaper than carbon fiber, we can market the buddy at an attractive price for beginners, young people or anglers who don't want to spend more than 120 € on a fishing rod. with a casting weight of 300 grams, the action is similar to that of the short and soft, but it goes a little further into parabolic action. big fish can be caught without any problem, but small specimens are also a lot of fun. the buddy weighs only 10 grams more than our 3.00 m pro-cat, which once again emphasizes that the blank has nothing to do with the older generations of fiberglass blanks. it absorbs fishing mistakes without any problem, which is another buying argument.
