The BLADE BLASTER will become your new benchmark for fishing shallow areas, weed beds and vegetative cover. This bladed-jig was created in collaboration between our ILLEX Pro-Staff angler Marc Ptacovsky and our product manager Thomas Vogels. Marc wanted to combine two types of lures into one. First, he kept the head shape of the Swim-Jig ‘JUNGLE BLASTER’ for its qualities: its perfect glide over obstacles and its ability to penetrate through weed. This ideal shape has been paired with a metal blade of our own design that emits genuine attractive signals, giving its voluminous silicone skirt a very lively, vibrating action on a simple retrieve, right from the moment the lure hits the water. The skirt is secured by a stainless steel wire tie for longer durability against the pike's teeth. An eyelet has been placed under the head to mount a blade or simply to add an ILLEX ‘JOHN WEIGHT’ sinker to adjust the swimming depth. Depending on fishing conditions, the BLADE BLASTER can be fitted with a soft trailer to add bulk; of the ‘pin-tail’ type like our MAGIC SWING TAIL 4 or 5, the ‘shad’ type like the MAGIC SLIM SHAD 4 or 5, or simply a crayfish like the CHUNK CRAW. Of course, the BLADE BLASTER is « lead-free »! Designed and engineered primarily for pike fishing, it is also suited to pursuing other species such as perch, the Black-Bass, zander and catfish.
