Adjustable operating frequency
If a Furuno transducer is used with the fishfinder FCV295, simply program it in the menu and the fishfinder adjusts its power as well as its frequency. The user can at any time change this frequency to refine detection. This function is particularly useful for boats practicing different types of fishing or in very busy areas where interference from other boats' fishfinders can become annoying.

Gain processing applied to all echoes on the screen
The FCV295 has a quick gain adjustment function that allows the new setting to be applied both to new echoes and to those already present on the screen. This function enables a much more effective and faster adjustment.

White contour function for good bottom discriminationOn the FCV295 fishfinder, the upper part of the bottom is displayed in white to clearly distinguish the bottom from echoes close to it. While the traditional white line function replaces the darkest color with white, the white contour function uses bottom discrimination to display the white color.

Faster transmission sequence for more detailed detection
The FCV295 fishfinder has an emission repetition rate increased by 30 % compared to a conventional fishfinder. The result is a finer and more detailed image under the same conditions. The transmission speed is higher in shallow water and adjusted according to depth rather than the selected scale.

An exclusive Furuno Technology (FDF™)
The digital filter (FDF™) optimizes bottom discrimination performance and improves gain control. A new automatic adjustment process: it is calculated based on the depth of the seabed and not on the selected scale.

Compatibility with TZ Professional software and the bottom hardness module
The Furuno FCV295 & FCV1150 fishfinders are compatible with TZ Professional software and the Bottom Hardness module*. Thanks to this feature, it is now possible to record Bottom Hardness (Backscatter) data from these two fishfinders. After retrieving all the data, you can display Bottom Hardness in color on the chart by selecting the corresponding parameters found in the Chart menu of the ribbon.
