The BeastMaster 12000 MD (Monster Drive) is the largest and most powerful of Shimano's electric reels, with a motor twice as large as the highly regarded Beastmaster 9000. Thanks to a brushless motor, which generates considerable torque and speed, this reel is intended for anglers who pursue the biggest fish in the world's deepest waters.

The Beastmaster 12000 MD is a reel designed for deep-water specialists. Incredibly advanced and equipped with Shimano's most powerful motor, which produces torque 2.5 times greater than that of the 9000 model, this powerful reel is unexpectedly easy to use and delivers remarkable winding power and retrieval speed. If you want to explore depths that are simply not accessible with a conventional reel, there is nothing bigger, better, or more advanced than the Beastmaster 12000 MD.

At the heart of the "Monster Drive" is the largest brushless motor produced by Shimano. Generating impressive torque and an incredible retrieval speed, it has a winding force (motor power) of up to 38 kg and a maximum speed of 170 m per minute. Of course, this power must be delivered efficiently to provide maximum effectiveness. For that, the ultra-durable Hagane body ensures flawless performance, even within the most extreme ranges of force and tension. The BeastMaster 12000 MD is also equipped with an incredible 43 kg thermo-adjustable drag power with a 50 % reduction in residual brake heat thanks to the exclusive Thermo Adjust Drag technology, allowing you to dominate pelagic species like grouper, swordfish, and large squids like never before. The LCD screen is easy to read, even in full sunlight, and the Exciting Drag Sound function adjusts to the drag to let you know how the reel is working. For manual retrieval, the Beastmaster 12000 MD is fitted with an aluminum crank finished with an ergonomic fighting handle.
