The Ohira was developed with the primary goal of improving casting efficiency with medium-sized lures. The oscillating movement of its tall, flat body eliminates roll and provides a natural action that stirs the water powerfully, without wobble.

Additionally, its distinctive tail, oscillating laterally on the surface, faithfully reproduces the image of a crucian carp or a pumpkinseed sunfish heading toward the surface. Its unprecedented action attracts sea bass even when stationary or when they rise to the surface to avoid getting trapped.

Furthermore, thanks to a large amplitude of movement in the joint, it is compatible with the underwater dog walk technique, which has become common in recent years.

The weighting system allows you to adjust buoyancy and diving depth according to the situation, and it covers a wide casting range, from the surface down to 2.8 m.
