Developed by SATAN SHIMADA, prostaff for EVERGREEN and MADNESS, the BALAM is a new generation Big Bait designed to meet specific techniques. Its multi-section articulated body gives it unmatched fluidity for this lure size and allows retrieval at ultra high speed without coming off to imitate a fleeing fish and trigger aggressive reflexes. During pauses (Dead Sticking) and on slow, jerky retrieves, its body produces a very natural movement that can fool the wariness of educated fish. The BALAM has particularly stood out on the huge Japanese Bass with the famous « Eight Trap», a technique initially developed for Musky in which the BALAM excels. This hypnotic technique consists of triggering following fish to the boat by simulating a surface chase and producing a 8 (Figure Eight) at high speed to create maximum turbulence.

The BALAM exists in 2 sizes: 300 and 245 mm, it can also be used overhung by adding a pear sinker to the head eyelet in order to fish deeper, notably for pike stalking. To fish the BALAM, SATAN SHIMADA uses Evergreen Actaeon Magnum and Actaeon Magnum EX rods.
