how to choose the right HDI transducer?
the rule is fairly simple! the 50/200 HDI transducer is recommended for use at sea and the 83/200 HDI transducer for freshwater. there is no risk in using an 83/200 kHz transducer at sea and vice versa! it is simply a matter of depth performance between each transducer depending on the frequency used.
how to use your HDI transducer correctly?
for 2D sonar mode, each frequency opens a detection cone on the bottom that is more or less wide.
the high frequency at 200 kHz opens a narrow, precise cone for vertical fishing and the low frequency at 50 and/or 83 kHz allows you to reach greater depths and/or open a wide cone in shallow waters.
for HDI downscan mode at 455 and 800 kHz, it is an illumination of the bottom that varies according to the frequency used. 800 kHz for approximately 0 to 25 m and 455 kHz beyond.

thanks to genesis live, you can create custom bathymetric charts of your favorite lake or uncharted waters with razor-sharp accuracy and in real time, with all the details you need to find and navigate more quickly to the best fishing spots. a single blank commercial 32GB micro SD card is required to activate the genesis live function on the mapping page.
eagle features a new IPS analog display offering improved resolution, clarity and visibility, even when wearing polarized sunglasses in bright sunlight.
