The Kamakura sharpening process allows you to use a point as sharp as that of a hand-sharpened hook without effort and without wasting time. Featuring a wide gap, a short shank and an eye slightly turned inward whose inclination is accentuated by the curvature of the shank, the Kamakura Krank has a unique shape. Thanks to its slightly inward-offset point, the hook sets securely as soon as the fish is hooked. Very durable, these hooks are equipped with micro barbs that guarantee secure holding without hindering penetration.
A barbless version is also available. The Krank is suitable for various rigs and is as effective with a simple knotless knot as with complex rigs like the Spinner rig favored by Tom Dove. The points are protected by a wax cap that must be removed carefully before use, and they are supplied in boxes of ten units with a slot for each hook. Available in sizes 5, 6 or 8, with or without a barb.
