This small Samourai Jig is the “rockfishing” version of its big brother the Samourai Jig R. Designed for targeting small marine predators, it is equipped with an assist hook at the head and a treble hook at the tail. The hooks are saltwater-treated and of Japanese manufacture; the assist hook is treated “Saqsas”, with a Teflon coating in addition to an extreme sharpening. Its symmetrical profile offers good penetration through the air, increasing casting distance, but also allows it, once in the water, to flutter on the fall. Specialists will find what they’re looking for in the range of colors, from realistic to fanciful.
