the big backer jig is a «casting jig» developed specifically with a center of gravity positioned toward the rear to facilitate casting distance and easily reach well-marked spots or feeding frenzies. its compact, pear-shaped body favors very broad slow or fast movements. it can handle rapid horizontal retrieves that perfectly imitate a fleeing fish, triggering strikes from marine predators such as bass, pollack, mackerel, bonito, Spanish mackerel, tassergals,... its flanks are cut to accentuate its movements, and the combination of colors and the shimmer of its holographic coating gives a more attractive reflection. these qualities make the big backer jig a very versatile ‘casting jig’ for boat fishing with cast-and-retrieve in marine currents, for «vertical jigging» type fishing or from shore ‘shore jigging’. the big backer jig is fitted with a head assist hook equipped with a hologram sheet and a treble hook at the tail.
