The Drag Metal Cast Shot is a casting jig distinguished by its flat sides and its treble hook with a tail-mounted blade. This blade complements the strong flashes of light produced during the lure's side-to-side fall by adding an extra vibration. It is a versatile lure that can be worked with a succession of rod-tip strikes interspersed with pauses, by towing it and letting it fall back with the line semi-taut to make it glide, but also with a simple steady retrieve. It is very easy to use, from the shore as well as from a boat, in saltwater as well as in freshwater, and can be cast to very long distances.
