This STRIKE TROUT FD reel is our new reel specially designed to outfit telescopically adjustable trout rods, for natural baits or internal-line setups. Weighing less than 200 g with an aluminum spool, this reel is able to perfectly balance your favorite rod. The body and rotor are molded in graphite-FRP, which gives it exceptional stiffness and durability; this modern material allowed the reel foot to be slimmed down as much as possible to give it a more pleasant profile to hold between the fingers. The handle is very easily removable without tools; the anodized aluminum spool is ultra-light thanks to its hybrid construction with an ABS hub and an outer shell of forged and machined aluminum. The 5.2/1 gear ratio is sufficient to retrieve line quickly when you need to cast again or control a fish. The micrometric drag located on the top of the spool can be adjusted very precisely to find the setting best suited to the line size, and the drag washers used ensure smooth, consistent friction. The bail roller ensures the line winds onto the spool without twisting, which is essential for using thin lines.
