if you fish from a boat, you can't do without the prodding stick. simply screw the sections together to find the right depth (up to 4,8 / 16 feet) identifiable thanks to the graduations. the stick will transmit the condition of the substrate so you know whether you are fishing over gravel, clay, weeds or spots where fish feed. the stick is so sensitive that you will be able to distinguish small variations on the bottom and gain precision.
