Revelry HD MQ – Power Meets Style
The Revelry HD MQ is as striking in appearance as it is in performance. Specially developed by Daiwa for heavy-duty fishing, this reel lives up to its name — HD for Heavy Duty.
It features a robust Monocoque Body frame made from a single piece of machined aluminum. This unique one-piece structure allows for a more spacious gear housing, accommodating the powerful Tough Digigear forged aluminum drive gear. The result: outstanding rotational power and long-lasting durability, all while offering exceptional comfort during hard-fighting battles.
On the drag side, the Revelry comes equipped with Daiwa’s finest technology: the ATD (Automatic Tournament Drag) system. The drag washers are coated with a special grease that optimizes energy transfer and provides unmatched smoothness and progressive braking.
Its bold design won’t go unnoticed — this reel was initially engineered for the demanding needs of Australian and New Zealand anglers, known for targeting big, tough fish. It’s perfectly suited for powerful inshore and offshore fishing, right off our own coasts.
A Compact Powerhouse — Affordable Alternative to the Certate LT
The Revelry HD MQ is a more accessible yet equally impressive option compared to its high-end cousin, the Certate LT. It’s ideal for saltwater anglers targeting sea bass from shore, boat, or kayak — anyone looking for a lightweight reel that doesn’t sacrifice power.
Size Guide & Use Cases
2500DH
Recommended for M to MH power rods between 2.00 m and 2.30 m.
A premium compact reel offering excellent value for money, combining smooth performance with real torque.
Its 5.7:1 gear ratio ensures optimal retrieve speed for active sea bass techniques, while maintaining torque for pulling resistance-heavy lures or fighting fish in current.
Perfect for:
Light kayak setups
Boat fishing with finesse tactics
Short shore rods for heavy rockfishing
Freshwater: pike with light rods, zander, black bass, trout in large rivers
3000DCH
Shares the same body as the 2500 but with a wider spool, better suited for M, MH or light H rods from 2.10 m to 2.40 m.
A great all-rounder for kayak and boat fishing on medium-power setups.
4000DCXH
The go-to reel for longer MH and H rods, with a faster retrieve speed — ideal for techniques requiring quick slack recovery between lure movements.
5000DCXH
A formidable option for shore jigging and heavy boat fishing, perfect for casting large surface lures, blades, big shads or mid-depth vertical jigging over wrecks.
Also excellent for hefty freshwater predators like pike.
Key Features:
ATD Drag System for smooth, consistent power
Bearings: 8 + 1 (including 4 CRBB anti-corrosion)
Monocoque aluminum body with DS4 polycarbonate Air Rotor
LC-ABS spool for long-distance casting
Cross wrap line lay
Screw-in one-piece aluminum handle with round power knob
