New fixed drum reel from Van Staal, called Van Staal VR. This model is equipped with a 606-T6 machined waterproof aluminum frame. Sealed braking system, control wheel and spiral bevel gear. MicroClick™ brake for even more precise adjustment. Main stainless steel axle with a titanium nitride coating.

Spiral gears
The large stainless steel spiral machined gears get the job done in all Van Staal reels. They are individually milled, resulting in an extremely robust gear between the axle and the pinion. No other gear works better under load.

Van Staal anti-reverse system
for braid This oversized anti-reverse system allows for powerful strikes and can be used with large diameter braid.
