The Uni-thread 8/0 is made up of multi-filament polyester (like the 6/0 and 3/0 Uni), giving this tying silk a consistency and strength that makes it one of the best mounting threads in the world. This mounting thread is waxed.

UNI is the global leader in tying silks. The 8/0 size is recommended for assembling flies sizes 14 to 22. Despite its fineness, this thread has a high resistance to breakage. The thread does not fray.
