The Sonora Boat is designed as an easy, affordable entry point into saltwater fishing, offering reliable Shimano performance at an exceptional price. Robust, practical and easy to use, it is designed to help anglers get started with confidence while providing the power needed to tackle hard-fighting bottom-dwelling species from a drifting or anchored boat.

Whether you are new to boat fishing or simply want a dependable rod without spending a fortune, the Sonora Boat is a reliable companion at sea. Its forgiving parabolic action bends smoothly through the blank, absorbing head shakes and sudden runs while retaining the lifting power needed to bring fish up from the depths. With a versatile casting weight range of 50 to 150 g and three lengths available, this range comfortably covers everything from lighter inshore work to deep-water bottom fishing. Easy to control and reassuring to use, it is a rod that lets anglers focus on fishing rather than technique.

The Sonora Boat is built on a robust carbon composite blank, chosen for its durability and ability to withstand repeated use in saltwater. The slower, progressive action makes the rod forgiving during close-quarters fights by the boat, reducing hook pulls and helping less experienced anglers stay connected throughout the fight. At the same time, the blank offers enough strength to handle larger species and heavier sinkers when conditions demand it.

For long-term reliability, the Sonora Boat is fitted with Shimano Hardlite stainless steel guides, which resist corrosion and perform smoothly with braided and monofilament lines. A secure DPS reel seat keeps the reel firmly in place during repeated lifting and drops to the seabed, while the durable EVA handle offers a comfortable grip, even with wet hands, and is easy to clean after a day on the water.

Strong, functional and offering excellent value for money, the Sonora Boat range provides everything needed for enjoyable and effective boat fishing. It is a practical, no-frills choice for anglers looking to gain experience, target bottom-dwelling species with confidence and make the most of every trip to sea.
