Sea hook Super Mutu 5127 OWNER.

Reverse, «circle»-shaped hook, very heavily forged from iron (fer (XXX Strong) for fishing the largest trophy fish. Very large size allowing the use of livebaits or large baits (whole fish or in quarters, squid, etc.). Very large straight eye to accommodate the largest leaders. Black chrome treated anti-corrosion (saltwater)

With an incredible resistance to opening, the super mutu is regularly used throughout the world to target the largest sport fish.

The secret of these hooks?
• Better release: Taken at the corner of the mouth (and not in the stomach or the throat), the fish can be released with very high chances of survival (catch and release)

• A better hook-up: While a classic hook can catch in soft tissues, the position at the mouth ensures a much better hold and therefore fewer drop-offs. Moreover, its almost closed shape means that once hooked, the hook does not slip.

• Self-setting: The point turned at 90 ° slides into the mouth (soft tissues) to systematically position itself at the lips. By tipping into the corner of the mouth, all the forces of the line and the fish are focused on the point, which allows it to pierce the most powerful jaws. It should be noted that to achieve this self-setting, the drag must be set fairly tight. It is also important to point out that striking is practically unnecessary and even discouraged.

THE CIRCLES
Tom Gibson, a renowned tarpon angler in the 1970s, was the first to use this type of hook with a rod (they were then known only to professional fishermen) The results were clear: the capture ratio was multiplied by three in the first year of his trials! Beyond the tarpon, the reputation of this type of hook spread worldwide to achieve the success we know today.
