The X-BRAID Castman Absorber is a very strong nylon designed to make durable leaders. Its suppleness and flexibility allow lures or baits to retain considerable freedom of movement, even with larger diameters. Conventional nylons can stretch by 30 % of their original length before breaking; the castman absorber stretches up to 35 % before breaking. This added elasticity is particularly appreciated by anglers who use short leaders. It is also highly useful for absorbing the load that concentrates on the terminal knot during powerful casts.
