developed originally for jigging, the 7264 vmc® meets all the characteristics to rig your fire ball setups. it is a single hook, strong iron, extra wide hook which, in addition to its ultimate strength, has a rather short shank. it will delight anglers who like to make their own fire ball « homemade » rig by allowing them to :
• to hook a live bait through the mouth without injuring it too much and to keep it alive on the rig optimally by pressing the snout as close as possible to the weight,
• to avoid, thanks to its short shank, the tears caused by repeated animations which are amplified with a shank that is too long and therefore act like an excessive lever arm,
• even if it is not necessarily intended to impale the predator, its very rounded and very wide shape and its extreme sharpness facilitate penetration on the strike for hesitant fish that do not take on the treble.
