Advice for converting your lure to a single hook

It is commonly said that you should go up one size when switching to a single Inline hook. For example: a lure fitted with a size 4 treble will require a size 2 single hook.

General guidelines:
Hard lure 45-65mm = single hook 10 and 8
Hard lure 65mm - 80mm = single hook 6 and 4
Hard lure 80mm-100mm = single hook 4 and 2
Hard lure 100mm - 120mm = single hook 2 and 1/0
