The Crystal Pencil is made of a transparent acrylic resin that reveals inside the lure a very realistic imitation of a small fish. It’s the lure for targeting tuna on the chase; it casts to incredible distances—even into a headwind—and up to 80 meters thanks to its high density and its rear-weighted balance. Its pencil-type action produces a large trail of bubbles that drives tuna crazy when they encounter it. It is also possible to let it sink so it can pass through several layers of water and then retrieve it quickly with rod jerks. Pierced through and through by an internal frame, the Crystal Pencil is designed to take on tuna of over 100kg.
