The Mononofu was created for medium-sized river trout. Unlike many trout lures, which sink heavily and quickly, the Mononofu has been designed to sink naturally, thereby allowing it to imitate a weakened fish with great realism. Its balance and lip also make it very resistant to currents, making it easier to work, and its low center of gravity gives it a strong rolling action, even on the fall.
