The DRAG SPIN is a sinking pencil bait (slow sinking) fitted with a blade and capable of fishing in very shallow water. It is perfect for tempting fish hiding in the weedbeds of hyper-shallow areas (pond tail, heavy vegetation cover, etc.). It sinks slowly, flat, which gives you time after it contacts the water to retrieve it without it diving quickly, head first, into the weeds. It is used with a continuous retrieve and swims at all speeds. You can of course intersperse pauses in your retrieve to trigger a strike. Hold the rod firmly during those pauses! It has two tow rings. The one at the mouth lets you make it run and keep it in very shallow water and/or at very low speed; or conversely perform ultra-fast retrieves. The front ring allows the lure to stay longer in the layer of water in which you are working it. This position is ideal for slow open-water fishing,, deeper, where you will make it swim at the desired depth by placing a clip weight (Gunki Clip Weight) on the belly (at the level of the first treble). But the greatest advantage of this two-ring design is being able to change the lure's "shallow" mode into a model suited for deep explorations (fish on breaks, close to the bottom, etc. To do this, simply place a clip weight on the mouth ring and attach it to your line via the front ring. It will then tip down sharply during slack phases and transform into a perfect reaction lure for fishing by pulling as you would with your shads with a blade. The difference is that you can adjust the descent speed of your lure (according to the weight of the clipped sinker) and that it will be much more resistant to the multiple catches you will make with it! A truly versatile lure. Adaptable to the positioning of pike depending on the seasons and spots.
