As its name indicates, the primary objective of this pencil is to imitate a fleeing sardine. Its "all-purpose" size, close to reality, and its rigging (ST 56 2#) make it a lure that attracts interest and can be used for many predators.
SS for "Slow Sinking". This pencil sinks very slowly in a horizontal position. It is used when a follow on the "F" version has not succeeded. Indeed, it fishes in the surface film of the water and is especially worked with more pronounced jerks. It can be fished faster. Variation in speed changes its oscillation. Excellent in drift fishing, the Sardinerun SS clings to the water and allows use in white water (foam) and in rough seas.
