The Mirage JT 161 Trefle Creation is a 2-joint swimbait! With exceptional finishing quality, it features highly imitative color schemes with a scale finish truer than life. The head even has a metallic coating for an even greater resemblance. The Mirage JT 161 produces a very natural S-shaped swim on a simple linear retrieve with the reel. The front attachment positioned horizontally amplifies this swimming action. When jerked, it goes off-axis with sharp lateral bursts while wobbling on itself. During pauses, it sinks slowly horizontally while wobbling on itself like a wounded prey.

This swimbait features a highly innovative system allowing it to reach record casting distances for a 3-piece jointed lure: the pendulum joint (pendulum lock system) This patented system is revolutionary because it locks the two moving parts during the cast - thus allowing the lure to stay in line like an arrow. The Mirage JT 161 is even one of the rare swimbaits equipped in its tail with a tungsten ball mass transfer system. Combined, these two technologies allow it to reach exceptional distances for a swimbait.

The Mirage JT 161 is a perfect swimbait for fishing large predators (fine pike, big black bass, etc.) Note that its creator Iroshi Takahashi originally designed it for use at sea on large predators (sea bass, tassergals, barracudas, etc.) – which is rare for a swimbait. The Mirage JT 161 has an interchangeable soft TPE tail.
