The Drennan Groundbait Caty catapult is designed for maximum-range work with groundbait balls.

The special elastic gives a positive 'feel' throughout its stretch. This allows the trained angler to place the bait accurately at any distance between 30 and 60 meters. If the groundbait ball is small (about the size of a mandarin), distances of 70 to 80 meters can be achieved. The catapult features high-quality elastics, a handle with a molded thumb grip and a special bait pouch.

For greater accuracy, use a feature on the far bank as a reference point and always aim at that spot. The correct way to hold a catapult is to fully extend the arm forward and lock the elbow while turning the wrist. To achieve a consistent distance, pull the elastic back in exactly the same way each time and maintain the trajectory. The groundbait balls should also be the same size and weight for maximum effect.
