The Fat Lui was developed primarily for pike fishing.

The bulky body combined with the large paddle gives the lure the swimming action of an injured fish swimming on its side while moving a lot of water.

Even a slow retrieve gives the lure a gliding and provocative swim.

The X-shaped eyes add an extra touch that serves to direct predators' aggression toward the head and thus a better chance of hooking during the strike.
