For this series, we deliberately used a thicker spool body to reduce line capacity. This avoids the tedious task of rigging a monofilament line. The ring on the spool body prevents braid from twisting excessively. These reels were also designed to match the look of the new Shirasu IM-8 rod series.

Features :
• 5 precision ball bearings and 1 needle bearing
• Rotor with approximately 30 % carbon fibers
• S-shaped lift system for optimal line placement during casting
• Total Tolerance Control System (T.T.C.) : all possible tolerances of the handle, gearing and drags are reduced to a minimum.
• Quick Stop System (Q.S.S.) to stop the rotor instantly
• Anti-Sway System (A.S.S.) to prevent unwanted vibrations.
• Fine drag adjustment (S.D.S) with large drag discs
• Anti-Twist line bearings
• Aluminum spool and spare spool in nylon/ABS
• Screw-in aluminum handle
