after almost 1 year of design and testing, we present to you today l'occitane ul, our first factory-assembled fishing rod by qualified professionals! it is the first of a series that will allow you to catch trout and predators in different environments. but it's a secret... ;)

it's an ultra-light rod rated 3-10g and with a length of 210 cm. the handle, longer than average (23cm between the reel seat and the butt), prevents fatigue: the rod is braced under the arm.

l'occitane ul is a rod intended for stream fishing, small and medium rivers. with its fast action (but not too much, tending towards the mf) and its unusual setup (with an additional guide), it is suitable for twitch-type hardbaits, small jerks (up to 7-8g), spinning spoons/spinners (number 1 to 3, even 4 depending on the brands), and for bumping/contact fishing with soft lures or vibrating blades up to 8g. more occasionally, lures between 8 and 10g can be used.

the blank by brand luresport is of the xcross toray type. it's a different braiding of the carbon sheet, used mainly on the upper layers of the blank. it serves as reinforcement which brings more solidity with stronger mechanical properties and also a nice aesthetic touch! the blank's taper ensures, when needed, a comfortable power reserve, without detracting from the pleasure of the runs.

note: the problem with an overly fast action is that hookdrops are common and casts in cluttered areas can be difficult. that's why we added an extra guide following fuji specifications: it allows adapting the rod's action to obtain excellent casting smoothness and precision, while keeping the blank's natural resonance for optimal animation quality. the rod is intuitive, being an extension of your arm.

the seaguide guides are positioned very close to the blank (short foot) for better transmission of animations and bites. the anti-tangle technology is pleasant during fishing. on the reel side, you can use sizes from 500 to 2000, the most optimal being a 1000 size.

in terms of aesthetics, the high-end wooden handle and the fuji reel seat ensure excellent ergonomics in the grip, and also a chic and unique look! each element is different due to the wood grain.
