The moon shot rod was designed for coastal saltwater fishing from beaches, rocks and even harbor walls, using medium-sized hard baits (plugs) and metal jigs for bass and other shallow-water species. Light to the touch, balanced and with excellent tip speed, the moon shot rod was designed in Japan and built on high-modulus carbon blanks with hi-power x technology for increased torsional resistance and rapid tip recovery during casting. fuji k-type rings are used across the range to improve line flow and minimize damage to high-performance braids and monofilaments. All models are built in two pieces and the ml 2,59 m (8' 6"), the lightest, can accommodate lures weighing 6 to 32 g, while the mh 2,90 m (9' 6"), the most powerful, can accommodate lures weighing 10 to 52 g and metal jigs up to 60 g.
