The Metalzon SSD range is a series of casting and spinning rods specially designed for cephalopod fishing using tataki, with all your derivative squid-jig setups (ex: drop shot, branko, etc.), with a weighted squid jig or for handling a heavy egi squid in bichi bachi vertically from the boat (tip run eging technique). A must for eging enthusiasts on boats!

These rods feature a Full Solid blank with impressive resonance, allowing you to feel the most subtle bites. Its hyper-parabolic action prevents unhookings or the tearing of tentacles during fights. The ultra-thin tip of these rods is made of solid carbon (solid carbon tip) for optimal bite sensitivity.

The different color contrasts of the tip (white / orange / green) provide a strong contrast for maximum visual detection. Ideal for the ultra-fine bites of cephalopods!

Slightly more powerful, this spinning model allows you to handle egi squids from 15 to 45 g. It can also support the weights of your tataki rigs up to 180 g. This rod is therefore perfect for deep fishing, with a strong drift or in the presence of powerful currents.
