The 26 TOURNAMENT BASIA SURF is the flagship of Daiwa's surf range. AIRDRIVE technology is now available on a large-format reel. The smoothness provided by this technological advance considerably improves the reel's smoothness and operation when fishing at long range.t

This model now features a redesigned 45 mm spool. Its diameter, increased by 10%, combined with a minimal taper of 2°, allows the line to be laid perfectly.

Slow Cross Wrap, the specific angle at which the line is wound onto the spool, optimises line management both when stored and when casting. Reduced friction between the line and the spool lip when casting allows for smooth, accurate casts.

Robustness, balance and smoothness are ensured by the innovative Zaion Airdrive rotor.

A larger spool and rotor require a more substantial bail arm. The Airdrive bail arm uses a hollow-section tube of reduced diameter, making the reel lighter while maintaining its rigidity and strength.

The reel is supplied with a 0.35 mm 300 m spool and a lower-capacity spool suited to long-range fishing, loaded with 0.18 mm 300 m line.
