nothing was left out at penn when creating this superb surfcasting reel, which is made from a light and sturdy body and fitted with an xrc carbon rotor. it also features CNC gearing and a sealed ht 100 drag with carbon fibre washers. the latter prevent water and any impurities from seeping into the reel's mechanism. it's the perfect model that will surely appeal to surfcasters, available in sizes 7000 and 8000.

but the big strength of this reel is the shape and design of the spool. its rocket spool was carefully designed so that long, precise casts are made easily, and also thanks to the innovative x-slow technology which allows the spool to make 50 turns of line per spool oscillation. this means the line lay is perfect and also facilitates line release during the cast. line retrieval is also easier on long casts.
