The RECORD 455 telescopic rods were developed specifically for speed fishing. Light and easy to handle, these rods are supplied with a hollow carbon tip and a solid tip, which will allow you to tackle any situation.

Maximizing your number of catches when practicing speed fishing is a fundamental consideration, whether in competition (notably by minimizing the time gaps between 2 successive catches) or in leisure (by limiting the number of fish lost due to a poor hookset, for example, or due to an accidental unhooking). This means that to increase the cadence of catches, you must above all choose your speed rod well. This is largely based on 2 fundamental elements: the type of fish being targeted and the size of the fish being sought. Indeed, some rods will be better suited to fishing bleak or small roach of 15gr (and less) while others will be much more effective for roach/small whitefish of 20gr (and more) or even catfish. Thus, you should opt for a model with a carbon tip if you are targeting whitefish under 15gr, or a model with a hollow tip for heavier fish. Making the right choice of speed rod will allow you to gain efficiency, which is truly the key to success for so-called direct fishing.
