Johannes Dietel came up with the idea of applying Rushka’s quick-lure-change principle to an underspin-style lure. This is how the Spinner-Rushka was born. Since all you have to do is screw on the hook, you can change lures in the blink of an eye. The lures are soft lures that must always be used in combination with the Spinner-Rushka. The Spinner-Rushka is a head weight fitted with a blade that moves beneath the soft lure; in a way, a booster for soft lures. Since all predatory fish, and of course pike as well, respond well to this lure, the Spinner-Rushka’s Rushka clip is particularly strong. Even during intense fights, the hook stays firmly in place. Depending on the conditions, you can easily make the Spinner-Rushka swim with a soft lure at different depths. Pauses during the retrieve can work wonders. Classic jigging is also effective. We deliberately chose a willow-leaf spinner, as it does not interfere with the action of the soft lure and also allows fishing at greater depths. Regarding the material, we have avoided lead, as with all the products we develop in collaboration with Johannes Dietel. Bismuth has a density similar to that of lead. Zamak would be another alternative to lead. However, zamak has a significantly lower density than lead, which would make the lures unnecessarily bulky, in turn resulting in poor swimming action. Tungsten would have made the Spinner-Rushka considerably more expensive and, for the smaller sizes, there would also have been insufficient volume to design a functional head shape. INFO We chose the wire thickness of the Spinner-Rushka’s clip so that you can use practically all hooks suitable for perch, zander and other fishing. Below, in the Accessories section, you will find suitable hooks from our range. For the 5 g Spinner-Rushka, however, we advise against using our largest Chebu Hook, size #4/0. It no longer assembles correctly, and this combination would not make much technical sense. Likewise, for all Spinner-Rushkas, you should avoid using our smallest Rushka Hook, #8.
