Carp landing nets

A key component in carp fishing, before welcoming it onto a unhooking mat, it is essential to finish your fight by placing your carp in the landing net. Carp landing nets (landing net in English) are different from other predator or coarse fish landing nets for example. First of all the size, the arms of the landing nets are generally 42 inches or 106 cm, and a few exceptions are larger at 46 inches or 116 cm. Then the net is in soft meshes, and not plasticized like the predator landing nets, indeed the carp hooks never get caught in them so a soft mesh that is less aggressive for the fish's skin and scales is preferable. Finally, the size of the meshes is very small, usually about 1 cm, which does not help to move a wet net quickly. The system for attaching the arms is also particular, because on most models there are no articulated systems, but a "forced" installation which requires the knack, and a particular position to put and take down the arms, however the advantage is that it never comes undone on its own.
