When it comes to choosing between fishing shoes and boots, fishing boots offer maximum protection and waterproofing for anglers at the waterside. They are particularly suitable for humid conditions, but also to step into the water, whether for the landing net, for baiting, to get into a boat, or to return a fish to the water, impossible things with simple fishing shoes.

Some boot models, especially those with a neoprene lining, provide thermal insulation to keep your feet warm in colder conditions.

Boots are usually made of rubber, PVC, neoprene, or a combination of these materials. Rubber is more comfortable and flexible than PVC, to choose for long walks. The choice depends on the use and budget.
