The Mivardi Base Camp XL shelter is a spacious, robust model with perfect stability. Carefully designed down to the smallest detail, it is nevertheless quick and easy to set up. But it offers much more than generous space, doors and windows. Its structure is exceptionally stable, with double poles linked by tension bars fitted with sturdy clips at their ends. These considerably strengthen the structure and limit pole flex. Two of these tension bars are equipped with handy rod holders with Velcro fastenings. All the main sections of the frame are telescopic and feature a reliable system for easy adjustment.
The telescopic sections also allow for compact transport and ensure the shelter can be set up and taken down quickly and easily. In extreme conditions, stability can be further increased using four guy ropes. The shelter can easily be set up and taken down by one person.

The M-TEC300 outer fabric, with its hexagonal texture and enhanced mechanical durability, offers a hydrostatic head of 10,000 mm from the 2026 model onwards. The rear wall has a large window fitted with a mosquito net and a nylon cover, providing micro-ventilation thanks to the tension bar at the bottom of the window. The front wall consists of an entrance panel with a large window fitted with a mosquito net, a transparent PVC panel and a nylon cover. This letterbox-style front panel can be opened sideways and rolled up in the usual way, or partly unzipped and opened gradually from top to bottom.

At the front of the shelter is a large porch with its own fibreglass frame.
When extended, it is supported by two poles and secured with guy ropes. The porch can be folded completely back along the front wall of the shelter without having to take it down. Its specially designed attachment to the main shelter effectively prevents water from collecting on the roof, even in heavy rain. The side walls of the shelter have large opening windows with nylon covers and mosquito nets, also providing micro-ventilation. These letterbox-style side panels can be partly opened or removed completely.

The bivvy connection kit, available separately, is a unique and innovative feature of the Mivardi Base Camp. This system comprises two universal side attachments that fit onto the Base Camp shelter in place of the removable side panels. These attachments make it easy to connect almost any bivvy or umbrella to the Base Camp shelter. Other accessories available separately include a set of four internal hanging organisers or a heavy-duty groundsheet.

The shelter is supplied in a carry bag that is large enough for easy packing when folded. This 600D nylon bag is waterproof, washable and extremely durable.
