The Essentials Wide Gape X hook has been designed as the perfect versatile model, ready to use straight out of the pack for a wide range of rigs and without needing any additional components, whether you're fishing with dense baits, pop-ups or wafters. Its aggressive inturned eye ensures the hook turns perfectly to hook in the fish's mouth, with no need to add a Kicker or heat-shrink tubing.

These hooks are made from our gauge X steel wire, producing a strong and durable hook suitable for inland fishing both in France and abroad. The point has been designed to last over time and it is entirely possible to catch several fish on the same hook before having to change it. However, be sure to check its sharpness before each cast and replace it if necessary.

Its shape is based on the incredible and fearsome original Wide Gape, which has helped land countless big carp over the years. With their discreet black nickel finish, these Wide Gapes are ready to put many more carp on the mat.

The Essentials Wide Gape hooks are available in barbed and barbless versions, in sizes 2, 4, 6 and 8, with ten hooks per pack.
