The Baitrunner XTB-LC is available in two sizes - the "Big" with its impressive casting performance and a smaller "Medium" size ideal for mid-range fishing. Both are equipped with the latest technologies, notably oversized spools for long-distance fishing and Shimano's famous Baitrunner freespool feature.
The "Big Baitrunner" has legendary status among carp anglers. If you are looking for a long-range reel featuring Shimano's famous freespool function, this reel is made for you. The original version was launched over 25 years ago and received the highest praise. Years of engineering and ever-more advanced technology have been added to this latest version. The result is a reel you can completely trust. Long casts, with great retrieval power — pair it with any 12- or 13-foot TX rod with an Intensity action, and you'll have a setup that will maximize your performance and increase your fishing enjoyment.
Inside the black body of the Baitrunner XTB-LC is a combination of HAGANE Gear and X-SHIP technologies. They deliver smooth and powerful rotation with enormous retrieval power to overcome the biggest carp and even the toughest European catfish. The large AR-C aluminium spool of the largest model can hold an enormous amount of line and benefits from Slow Speed oscillation combined with Aero Wrap, which produces perfect line lay. However, for anglers who don't need such large capacity, line capacity reducers are included. For medium and smaller waters, check the "Medium" version which offers an excellent compromise of size and balance while retaining all the important features and attributes of its big brother.
