Featuring an oversized 'Aero Concept' spool, the Baitrunner X-Aero combines the advantages and convenience of a traditional Baitrunner reel with increased casting performance rivaling that of a compact Big Pit reel.
If you are a fan of Baitrunner reels but want to increase your casting distance, the Baitrunner X-Aero is a natural progression in the range. Exceptional casting performance is achieved through the use of a large-diameter Aero Concept spool. And although it doesn't reach the extreme distances achieved by a full-size Big Pit reel, or the 'Big' Baitrunner models, you will be more than impressed by its performance. Available in 3 sizes, the largest 10000 is an excellent reel for big water, the 8000 is perfect for medium-sized waters and the smallest 6000 has a double handle and is a superb reel for specialist fishing. Whichever you choose, you'll certainly be impressed by the increase in performance.
The Baitrunner X-Aero uses Aero Wrap II and 2-speed oscillation for almost perfect line management on the spool. The perfect line lay, combined with an AR-C spool that reduces friction, further enhances the impressive casting distances achieved with the Baitrunner X-Aero. Inside the black and silver hybrid body sits a perfectly aligned mechanism of gears and shielded A-RB bearings. They give the Baitrunner X-Aero the smoothness and power you expect from Shimano, while contributing to nearly one metre of line recovered per crank turn.
