The W6 Boat-T Baitfish 2nd rod is specially designed for seasoned anglers who demand power, sensitivity and reliability for boat fishing. It is specifically designed for bait fishing with whole or cut baits to target large halibut and cod, while offering outstanding performance for haddock, ling and other robust marine species. The rod features a high-quality Torayca® carbon fiber blank that delivers exceptional power and responsiveness, allowing you to confidently handle heavy baits and powerful fish. No detail has been overlooked in the pursuit of perfection. Equipped with a spiral wrap guide system, the rod offers improved stability, increased power and superior control both during the fight and while fishing. The guides are positioned precisely, with the second guide slightly angled in the opposite direction to balance the blank under load, an extremely important feature to avoid any torsional stress in the blank. The first guide is raised to prevent the line from cutting the foregrip or resting against the fingers during the fight. The EVA foam handles are ergonomically designed to provide a secure grip while protecting the blank when it is placed in a rod holder during transport and fishing. The rear handle is shaped to rest against the edge of the rod holder and, together with the rubber butt, the rod remains stable and well positioned. Its robust construction combined with a softer action at the tip makes this rod ideal for bait fishing, where even the lightest bite is easy to detect. The softer tip also delivers excellent performance for hooking fish when using circle hooks, helping to set the hook smoothly and securely.
