The W6 Boat-T 2nd is specially designed for seasoned anglers who demand power, sensitivity and reliability for boat fishing. It was primarily developed for jigging large halibut and cod, but it is also highly effective for fishing for pollack, ling and other robust marine species. The rod features a high-quality Torayca® carbon fiber blank that delivers exceptional power and responsiveness, allowing you to confidently handle heavy lures and powerful fish. No detail has been overlooked in the pursuit of perfection. Equipped with spiral-wrapped guides, the rod offers improved stability, increased power and superior control both during the fight and while fishing. The guides are positioned precisely, with the second guide slightly angled in the opposite direction to counterbalance the blank under load, an essential characteristic to prevent blank twist. The first guide is also raised to prevent the line from cutting into the foregrip or resting against the fingers during the fight. The EVA foam grips are ergonomically designed to provide a secure hold while protecting the blank when placed in a rod holder, both during transport and while fishing. The rear handle is designed to sit firmly against the edge of the rod holder and, thanks to the rubberized cross-handle, the rod stays stable and securely in place. Its robust construction and fast action make this rod the ideal tool for vertical jigging and fishing with large lures in deep water, but it is also very well suited to fishing with dead or live baits.
