The Diving Flap Slap is a relatively tall, flat-sided crankbait that dives up to 2.10m in depth to root out predators lurking deeper in the water. Its balancing along the bottom of its body generates a pronounced rolling action that emits significant flashes similar to those from a much larger lure to mimic a fleeing prey. Highly responsive, it sets into motion at the slightest prompting, displacing a lot of water and producing high-frequency vibrations to make itself heard. During pauses, it slowly rises back up in the water, maintaining a natural pendulum action that often triggers brutal strikes.
