The Gold Max is the most powerful line in the RIO Gold range. The Max is a line specially designed to comfortably cast fast rods with large, heavy flies/streamers. The relatively short 11m head carries more weight toward the rear so that anglers can more easily turnover heavier flies or streamers more effectively, while the shorter front taper combined with the tapered body allows bulky dry flies to be cast with finesse. The short rear cone combined with a rear-loaded body enables incredible roll casts with heavier rigs while helping to turnover the line at distance.

The Gold MAX is a powerful line capable of casting large flies and streamers without neglecting presentation quality, unlike many short, massive-head lines.

This line also benefits from RIO's latest technologies / RIO's low-stretch ConnectCore Plus (Elite only), which results in incredible levels of sensitivity during casting and fishing - allowing better strike detection, faster hooksets and much better control when landing a fish. In addition, this line features SlickCast, the technology that delivers superb slickness and superior durability.
