FRESHWATER: The 1090 is Maver's best-selling hook in the world! Nickel-plated hook with a wide bend, very light yet at the same time also strong, the chemically sharpened point guarantees perfect penetration of the bait, whether a maggot, a worm or the most delicate bloodworm. Suitable for crucian carp, carp and bream but also for roubaisienne and English-style fishing. In sizes 2 to 8 it has been the leading hook for trout fishing in lakes and streams for years. The browned version, the 1091, is ideal for fishing in crystal-clear waters with live baits, while the black nickel version, on the other hand, lends itself to fishing sessions in canals and to targeting bream and crucian carp; the particular treatment makes this hook even more reliable and higher performing, becoming perfect for English-style fishing sessions for medium-sized fish. SEA: The 1095 in the larger sizes is ideal for baiting with live shrimp for bass fishing, but also for baiting sardines in the light drifting technique for mackerel and horse mackerel. In the smaller sizes it is perfect for baiting maggots.
