Mitraspoon Ragot spoon.
The sea bass killer, the one that causes adrenaline rushes in many anglers. Excellent for perch, pike, and zander when vertical jigging.
An indispensable spoon « The Mitraspoon is one of the most deadly spoons. Like all heavy spoons it casts very far. It is just as effective when jigging as in cast-and-retrieve. Its action is perfect; when it sinks it flutters without overly slowing the descent. When it touches the water, let it sink for a few seconds (depending on depth and its weight), then begin the retrieve fairly slowly while accompanying it with small rod-tip jerks. If you are jigging, let it sink to the bottom, raise it about a meter then wiggle it with small rod-tip jerks occasionally followed by longer pulls with a reel retrieve over 3 to 4 m. As soon as you have retrieved those 4 m, let the spoon drop back to the bottom and start again. » Bernard Dorso

Tips from Daniel Nicolet : The Mitraspoon 35 g should be used in less than 5 m of water, the 70 g in greater depths and in strong current. Cast it, let it sink well to the bottom, retrieve with sharp pulls while letting it sink again and so on.
